Oliver is 10months old. Wow - he will be a year old in no time! The boy is always on the move, and I thought that this photo captured what life is like in our house these days perfectly.
In addition to Oliver's increased mobility, we have seen a lot of changes in his personality. He is constantly telling us when he doesn't like something - we're going through a phase of lots of whining and complaining. You always know where you stand with him. He gets into everything and doesn't appreciate it when you take his newest "entertainment" away from him. He makes that crystal clear. We're also going through a clingy phase, where he is constantly wanting to be held. Apparently, this is textbook baby symptom related with his new independence. We're hoping its a phase that's over soon.
We have had my sister & nephew here twice recently (again this past weekend), and Oliver continues to exhibit jealousy around the other baby. He needs lots of love and attention and always wants to hug the parent that is holding the "other" baby. I'm taking him up to Jersey next weekend and we'll be around all the other cousins - will be interesting to see how he does around even more competition.
We have been spending a lot of time running around the house with him. "I'm going to get you" is our latest game and its great hearing him hysterically laughing. (I'll post a video of this soon). He's also able to squat down and pop-up when he wants to play peek-a-boo.
